Moments by Lynne Moncrieff

Hello

I came across a piece of kraft card which already had layers of Flat Matte Sprays, the Kraft coming from the That's Crafty! Surfaces Mixed Media Journal kit. It was time to actually make use of that piece of paper and decided to add more layers of sprays to it.

This is another project where I incorporate fragments, scrappy pieces of fabrics and papers, where I used the Liquid Acrylic Wax onto stained tea bag paper towards the right of the stamped leaf, which brings a translucency and another variation of textures to this panel.

13Arts Ayeeda Mist: Patina, White

Extras: scraps: calico, canvas, handmade paper.

Instructions

This was how the Kraft cardstock looked, with the inital layers of Flat Matte Sprays.

To this, adding 13Arts Patina

following with 13Arts White Mist

Once this was dry, it was adhered to the MDF Panel, onto which I then started to layer pieces of this and that and a stamped focal.

The PaperArtsy stamp, was stamped onto a piece of cardstock soaked with Walnut Ink Crystals, distressing and abrading the edges. Also inking up again, to stamp the script on three scraps of walnut ink stained rice paper.

This piece forms the focal of the collage, layering to lightly walnut ink stained rice paper, a strip of textile also stained with walnut ink crystals, which was machine stitched to a fragment of handmade paper which had been sprayed with Flat Matte Spay Basil, Sage and Walnut.

To the right of the stamped focal, a piece of stained Tea bag paper, which Liquid Acrylic Wax was applied to

Stamped directly onto the rice paper with one of the Mark Making stamps, which I highlighted with That's Crafty! Pearl Ink.

The word moments, was taken from the Affirmation "Embrace the quiet moments" and finally, edging the panel  with Pearl Inks Antique Gold and Bronze.

Until next time,
Wishes
Lynne
