Grunge Flower Birthday Card by Fliss Goodwin

Hello!

I'm back from my hols where even in Norway the weather was hot and sunny but we now have a heatwave in the UK and my very quick card for this week is very colourful to celebrate all that sunshine we've been having.

What I Did:

This is really a very simple card with a background made using one of the gorgeous new masks designed by Melina and this is one of my favourites.

I cut a piece of smooth white cartridge paper to fit a 6 x 6 card blank then placed my chosen flowers galore stencil on top. I then misted on some flat matte sprays, starting with saffron, following up with orange and finally basil and as you can see you get a very colourful background very easily.

I next stamped on the beautiful grunge flower image with black ink on the right side. I stamped it again on ink spray overflow paper in much more subtle colours for contrast and cut out the flower head and leaf. I added a little extra colour with flat matte sprays and then glued them in place over the stamped image.

I stamped the birthday text from the same stamp set on more ink spray paper using black ink and cut this out leaving a small border. I added this to the background and glued the paper to my card to finish. How easy is that!
