Using the very unique and highly addictive Lynne’s Carved Leaves set 1, and Lynne’s Mark Making Stamps set 2, I made a simple set of 6 notelets.
To begin with I stamped the leaf onto 6 (3.5”) squares of watercolour paper, going slightly over the edge, using Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
.
Then, taking a different stamp from Lynne’s Mark Making stamps for each of the squares I made a border, using Versafine Claire ink.
To get the rough edge I ran the blade of my scissors along the edge of the paper then distressed it with the brushed corduroy ink.
Matting and layering, first onto 4” x 4” brown cardstock, then 4.25” x 4.25” black cardstock, framed it nicely on the 5” square card blank.
Finally, I made a box to hold the set, stamping the same design on the lid and adding the wording.
This was a quick and easy project, but the result is quite effective, and would make a lovely gift.
Products I used:
White, Brown, and Black Cardstock
Gorgeous simplicity of design Shellie and just love how you framed the leaves so cleverly with the stamping.
