It's Helen here today with a quick little bag charm using a Stampbord tile.
Just drop your alcohol inks on - I've used just two colours that blend well. You could also try this out with the new Alcohol Ink Pearls that have just arrived on the website (haven't got my hands on those yet!).
Let it swoosh a bit and mix.
Then we're going to try out the Alcohol Lift-Ink. Dot a little on some foam and sponge through a stencil (less is more here).
Blot first and then gently rub and you'll see the pattern coming through.
It's quite subtle - it doesn't take all the colour out, just enough to add depth.
I've inked up a Carabelle Studio stamp and have pressed the Stampbord down onto the stamp - that way you can see exactly which bit of the image you're getting.
Here it is:
After that just etch in some highlights. I always have the index image at hand so you can see exactly where to etch.
Just add embellishments to finish.

This is wonderful, Helen. Love the design and those colour ways are lush and the etched highlights really do bring the birds to the fore . x
ReplyDeleteA really beautiful charm Helen. The layered inks and stamping look gorgeous and the way you brought the birds to like is so clever.
