You Can't Make a Rainbow by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone
Amanda here with you today, as it's Tuesday. This week I have a card for you using a selection of stamps from different brands and all available from That's Crafty!

Here's What I Did:

I started by cutting a piece of stamping card to size to fit the DL card blank. I then repeat stamped the background stamp using a Shadow Grey ink pad. I needed to stamp the background stamp 4 times to cover the card so in order to keep the stamping straight and joined up correctly I used a Stamping Platform. I then blended Distress ink in Pumice Stone around the edges using an ink blending tool.
I then stamped onto a separate piece of stamping card the girl, the umbrella and a selection of raindrops. I then coloured them all with coloured pencils but you could colour them with a colouring medium of your choice. They were then all cut out and added to the card with 3D Glue Gel for added dimension. The girl stamp in the stamp is holding a balloon so I replaced that with an umbrella.

To add a little more interest, once I had added the raindrops, I added Glossy Accents to each of the raindrops.

The last thing was to add the sentiment which was from a Carabelle stamp from my stash. This was then mounted onto a DL card blank.

Here's What I Used:
AALL & Create Stamp - #5 by Olga Heldwein
Paperartsy Hotpick Stamp Set - HP1801
Katzelkraft Stamp A6 - Les Gouettes d'Eau (raindrops)
Katzelkraft Stamp A5 - Les Droles d'accessoires (umbrella)
Distress Ink Pad - Pumice Stone
Archival Ink Pad - Shadow Grey from Mini Set #4
Stamping Platform - Tim Holtz Stamp Platform
Carabelle Studio Stamp Set - Dancing in the Rain (from my stash)

Hope you have a fabulous week and I'll see you next Tuesday
Love

  3. Love those shadowy grey background umbrellas, and the main image is such fun. But it's those fabulous colourful raindrops which steal the show for me.
