Hi Everyone
Oooh there's lots of new things in the shop at the moment with lots more due to arrive. One of the latest arrivals to hit the shelves are PaperArtsy stamps latest releases and for my make today I have used Elanazinski Art stamps which are designed for PaperArtsy by Elena Guzinska, I just love her quirky and fun characters.
Here's What I Did:
This card was always going to be on a white background as I wanted these fabulous characters to be the main focal point. I stamped the characters onto white card and coloured with coloured pencils and then cut them out, I then had to create the scene I was to put them in.
To create the porthole I grabbed my gel plate, I brayered a thin layer of Toffee paint onto the gel plate and then picked the paint off with a crumpled piece of paper leaving only random bits on the gel plate. Over that I then brayered a combination of Seaglass, Lake Wanaka & Mermaid and then placed That's Crafty! Dot Circle stencil on the plate and lay a piece of copier paper over to remove the paint from the open area's of the stencil. Once that was removed I lifted off the stencil and with a piece of white card pulled the print from the gel plate. Once the paint had dried I die cut the porthole shape using a couple of circle die's. I then aged it up using Vintage Photo and Pewter Distress Crayons.
To add the porthole hinge and bolts I took some of That's Crafty! greyboard pieces and using some of the off cuts from my gel print I glued the paper to the pieces and trimmed the pieces and again added Distress Crayons to colour the same. To make the background behind the porthole I just brayered the same colours onto a piece of card and again die cut a circle to go behind the porthole.
It was then just a case of putting it all together and stamping the sentiment from the set on the card. All have been added with 3D silcone gel to raise the images. Matted onto black card and added to an 8"x 8" card blank.
