Art Time...by Helen Chilton

Hi there, it's Helen here and I've made a little triptych using some of the whiteboard panels:

What I really wanted in this post was to try out the 13 Arts Magic! Powder which is a little pot of wonderfulness! You can mix it with paint, as I've done here, or sprays or powdered media to make anything into a texture paste.
Get your paint ready (I've mixed two of the Multi Surface paints here) and add some of the powder, a little at a time:

Mix and mash well until all the powder has disappeared:

And then scrape through the stencil:

It's just like using corn flour to thicken a sauce (not that I cook if I can help it!) and also quick drying.

I've done two layers of stencilling on the middle panel in light blue and yellow:

If you're using a powdered medium I think you need to add some clear mixed media gel to wet it - don't know if water would work as well? I can see more experiments coming up.

I've used one of Magda's stencils and Flat Matte sprays to make the bears. Some of Lynne's words finished them off.

Enjoy!
Helen
