Hello to you, on another Monday morning !
This week I chose to use one of That`s Crafty`s Rounds, as panel,
and started painting it over with thinned gesso.
After dry, I painted again with thinned Mint, left to dry and
onto the bottom, smeared Texture Sand Paste, dabbing it on,
to create more texture. On the right hand side, I stamped, directly to the panel,
Lynne´s wildflower, making the stem longer and painting it with
watercolor pencils.
3 greyboard butterflies were also gessoed and then stamped
with Melina`s Butterfly stamps, giving them a beautiful
winged pattern. I used Archival ink to be sure I could use
water on top, again, when painting with both Acrylic Multi Surface Paints,
and watercolor pencils.
One was also given a coat of 3-D Gloss. The Round was carefully sprayed with
thinned Walnut Ink , mostly seen on the Sand Paste area - one
of the beautiful Lynne Affirmations was stamped onto old piece of paper,
and cut into 4 pieces.
Two of the butterflies were adhered on top of old lace, to the panel
and the third one directly to the panel. The words are placed and a piece of sari silk
added to hang the Round.
The last thing to do was, a bit of splashing with Walnut Ink and defining the butterflies
and the flower a bit more, using a Stabilo Aquarellable black - a gift from dear Lynne.

Thank you for looking and maybe reading, dear friends - I wish you
a lovely new week, all.
Hugs and Love,
Dorthe

DeleteReally beautiful artwork Dorthe. The textures and sogt colours are so lovely and the butterflies are really gorgeous. A very inventive idea to stamp on the smaller butterflies with a larger stamp too.

Thank you dear Fliss, I thought I would try, even not having place for the whole stamp- but the lines and patterns are close in Melina`s stamps, so I think it works , thank you for your kind words .

A fabulous piece of mixed media Dorthe with those tones almost hinting at monochrome. The beauty of the round I always say gives everything a hug, holding all those delicate details together so sweetly. A delight piece.
