Hi Everyone
I'm back with you this Tuesday with one of That's Crafty! MDF Uprights, the one I have used today is the Dinky Torn Upright and I have given it a bit of a rusty makeover.
Here's What I Did:
I started by stencilling on the background using Texture Paste and adding some patches of crackle paste. Once dry I had to turn it all rusty, this I did by layering up acrylic paint each time applying it with a piece of washing up sponge as it applies the paint with some texture, the paint colours are all from Seth Apters collections of paints by PaperArtsy with touches of That's Crafty! Metallic Silver paint.
I then added the broken frame which came from the waste from around one of the ATC MDF Chunkies, it had the same paint treatment and I added a piece of rusty chicken wire to it and added it to the tag using 3D Glue Gel for dimension. I then stamped the heart and the eye and coloured with a mixture of the same paint colours and coloured pencils. The heart and the eye then had Glossy Accents added to them. Once that was dry I added them to the piece.
The last addition were the words that I stamped out onto white card and coloured with Distress Inks in keeping with the rusty colour palette.
Here's What I Used:
PaperArtsy Fresco Paints - Smoked Paprika, Peacoat, Mahogany, Buff, Green Patina & Terracotta
That's Crafty! Metallic Paints - Silver
TCW Stencil 6" x 6" - Floral Radar
That's Crafty! Mediums - Light Texture Paste
Rubber Moon Stamp - Oculus
Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge & Broken China
3D Silicone Glue
Rusty Chicken Wire
Washing Up Sponge
Waste from ATC Chunkies
Hope you have a fabulous week and I will see you all, back here, next Tuesday
Love
