Make a Wish by Dorthe Hansen

Hello friends, Monday is here and so am I, showing a creation on the That’s Blogging Crafty blog!!! I hope your weekend brought both good weather and happy hours and that your Monday will be a great one !!

On white/greyboard, start by adding Distress Oxide Antique Linen to the surface, and after, spray with a very thinned Infusions Blackcurrant.

When dry, I used the Word Stencil Discover, stenciling the brick border to the right side of the panel with Texture Paste and I also stamped the beautiful woman from Character Construction, and the butterfly from Butterfly Trio, Rubber Dance, onto the panel.

The butterfly was painted with Aquarel Superstar pencils and the sweet woman was given rose cheeks and mouth - her pearls painted white and lined with a black Sharpie marker.

While waiting for the brick wall to dry, I found a piece of card stock which I first crumpled and then painted with the gorgeous Shimmer Paint in Purple and sprinkled Blackcurrant Infusion here and there. I sprayed with water and left to dry. Then I stamped the big flower from Quirky Girls “ Beki”  on the painted card stock and fussy cut them - one was cut a bit smaller than the others!!

You can see the beautiful shimmer from the Shimmer Paint

I  wanted to add one of the wonderful embellishments from wildflowers greyboard sheet - it was also painted with both Shimmer Paint Purple and Blackcurrant Infusions and on top sprinkled a little of the Infusion powder onto the button flower, to add depth. Details were made with black and white Sharpies and the stems coloured with Archival Ink Leaf Green. The brick wall was then also painted with Purple Shimmer and a little Infusions powder sprinkled on top.

Time for more flowers, so I used the Flower Dinky stencil, also with Texture Paste and left to dry.

Next, Leaf Green was dabbed onto the flowers around all edges and around the butterfly girl. Blackcurrant dissolved in water, was painted onto the stenciled flowers and the embellishment flower was cut into two pieces to fit the surface and creation, it was adhered with Multi Purpose Craft adhesive, which was also used for the cardstock flowers, a piece of purple painted lace and dictionary paper!!

Lynne's Affirmation, giving name to the panel, was also stamped onto the prepared cardstock left from the flower stamping, cut out and lined with white Sharpie and Leaf Green and also adhered.

You can hardly see the text here, because of the gorgeous shimmer

Lastly, I outlined the butterfly with white dots, added details also to all the flowers, gave the woman a white bow and adhered two white buttons and a piece of Sari silks, fitting the colour theme.

Thank you for visiting, it makes me always feel thankful seeing you here too.
