Hello again. I'm here today with my usual Wednesday post showcasing this beautiful maple leaf which is from one of the new stencils which sold out on Hochanda last Friday. It's my absolute favourite and I've so enjoyed playing with it. I had intended this to be a card but due to the end size I decided to make it a wall hanging instead.

Here's what I did...

I began brayering over the Toffee and Nougat adding the Snowflake as I went until happy with the look. Take the Dinky stencil and modelling paste and add the flowers randomly around the edge of the card. Set this aside to dry.

Take a spare piece of card and the leaf stencil and run it through an embossing machine. This stencil really gives a great emboss. Cut it out carefully. Blend over the Lucky Clover, Candied Apple, Wild Honey and Cracked Pistachio Oxide inks layer by layer, spritzing as you go. Always make sure you dry each layer as you go until happy with the look. Take the Treasure Gold and gently apply with your finger, over the raised parts of the embossed leaf. Dab some glue onto the leaf randomly and add sprinkle on the coloured micro beads and set aside to dry. 

Stamp the wording from the PaperArtsy stamp set onto some cream card using the Vintage Sepia Versafine ink. Cut this out and mount onto brown card.

Now the embossing paste is dry, take the Vintage Photo Distress Ink and blend around the edge of the card and also lightly over the embossing paste. Take the Festive Berries and blend this in small areas around the edge too. Now take the White Fire Treasure Gold and lightly as before apply this over the the embossed flowers. Mount this onto cream card and then onto brown card. Glue the leaf and the wording onto the card. Take the Antique Gold paint and dip a cocktail stick in to pick up a good amount of the paint and lay this down onto the edge of the card. This paint holds it's form well. Continue doing this all the way around the card in sections of three. Allow this to dry before mounting your finished piece onto cream card leaving an inch at the top. Punch two holes and using a cropodile, punch in the hole reinforcements. Tie on some string to be able to hang up your finished wall hanging.
