Textured Flowers and Something New by Nikki Acton

Tomorrow sees the next That’s Crafty! Hochanda show and there are lots of amazing new products being launched. One part of this launch is some fabulous shimmer / metallic That’s Crafty! paints! Just as a little sneak peek I have used a few of them on today’s project. Don’t forget to tune in to Hochanda tomorrow (16th June) at 8am and 2pm to see all the new products.

All the stamps used on this project are from Rubber Dance – Textured Flowers. My base is a 6 x 6 inch white/greyboard panel that I gave a coat of white Fresco paint. I then brayered 2 of the new paint colours – Orange and Aquamarine to give a slightly shimmery, textured background. I also stamped the little flower in Archival ink. The edge of the panel was sponged with Copper paint to frame it.

I took some white card and painted one half with TC Orange shimmer paint and the other half with Copper and Aquamarine. I stamped the flowers and cut them out. To frame the flowers I die cut a ring (using to circle/scallop framelits) and painted it in Aquamarine before using one of the little texture stamps from the set.

In the corners of the panel I added some little leftover pieces of greyboard which I also painted with Orange and Aquamarine.  Finally I put it all together together and added some stickles for a little sparkle to add to add the shimmer!

See you next week.
