Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today using the fronts of the That’s Crafty! shrines to make the focus
point for this card.
What to do:
I
used a sheet of watercolour paper to swoosh through some diluted Distress
Oxides on my craft mat in the lighter colours.
The
stiches’ stamps are a huge favourite of mine but you can doodle the effect yourself
with a black fine liner pen.
Stamp
the circle stamp from the That’s Crafty! Textures set and then put to one side.
For
the main focus, use 2 ‘fronts’ from the 2 smaller sizes of shrines.
I
used Dylusions black for the back shrine and adhered a number from some Tim
Holtz tickets. For
the 1 on top, I used Dylusions lime green and stamped another stamp from the
Textures set which creates a crackle effect. Adhere this to a little piece of
corrugated cardboard that’s been covered with a quick coating of black Distress
Ink.
Within
the middle is the little starfish from my Marina set, stamp with Stazon as it’s
on acrylic and colour in with Posca pens, glue a little piece of Distress Oxide
covered paper behind it. Glue and mount the whole lot to the front of the card.
Add
a couple of Tim Holtz sentiments and there you have a card that can take you
off to Dreamland ;)
Supplies Used:
That’s Crafty! Clear Stamp Sets – Textures and Marina
Hope
you like it

Great idea to use the shrine as an embellishment, looks sweet against your background. Super colours used and I do love those stitch stamps, they would save me so much time doodling or getting the sewing machine out. Hugs Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteLovely piece. I was wondering where your stitches stamp came from? It would be perfect for some of my journalling xx
