Hi
there, this week I’m finally able to share the reverse of my little MDF upright
(do you remember the other side with the robin and butterfly) and this side
features some cute bunnies which I couldn’t resist even though Easter is quite
a long way off!
Ingredients:
That’s Crafty! Clear Stamp Sets – Bentley, Serena, Fleur
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic Paints – Paynes Grey, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Green Gold,
Hansa Yellow
Scraping
Tool of some sort
Recipe:
Apply a tick layer of modelling paste to the
upright and scrape on a pattern to resemble tree bark (I used a wooden skewer.
Allow to dry completely, then paint with the shades of brown and grey acrylics.
Stamp
the rabbits, large butterfly (the Bentley set) and several of the tiny flowers
(the Fleur set) on stamping card with the black ink and paint using the
watercolour pencils. I scribbled on the rabbits to go with the scribbly pattern
on the design. Cut the images out.
Use
a brayer to apply the green and yellow paints to card and then stamp on quite a
few leaves from the Serena set with black ink and cut some out – you’ll need
about a dozen. You should have some green painted card left. I cut strips from
this and glued them to the base.
Assemble
the panel with foam tape and glue to create a little scene with the rabbits,
flowers and leaves, finishing off with the butterfly at the top. I quite like
the way the little bunnies are looking up at the butterfly.
Have
a great weekend and see you next week.
