Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today and I’m really excited to announce That’s Crafty! are the exclusive
UK stockist of some fab stamps from one of my absolute favourite stamp
companies: Rubber Dance. So of course I had to use some on my card to celebrate
;)
What to do:
Take
a sheet of Strathmore Mixed media paper and start to brayer on a selection of
Fresco paints, try to stick to quite a light colour palette as you’ll be adding
darker colours later. Dry thoroughly with a heat gun.
Now
start to build up the background by using some Rubber Dance stamps and a
Kaisercraft stamp, use black Archival ink.
Splatter
with some white Fresco paint over the entire background, set aside to dry.
Now
for the rectangles…bet you cant guess what they are made from can you??! They
are actually a cut up cardboard toilet roll! It was left over from a mega Gelli
printing session where I used some on a roller to attach some drywall tape to. After
I’d finished I thought they looked really good and I knew I could use them for
something in the future…..don’t we all do that! Cut into three rectangles and
adhere to the background randomly (I used DecoArt paints on the toilet roll
from the original Gelli print session)
Stamp
the yummy flower (my favourite) onto a piece of Strathmore Mixed media paper,
colour with Distress markers, fussy cut out and adhere to the front. Do minimal
colouring on it, as you want it to stand out from the background.
Finishing
touch is to add a sentiment (this is from my stash) but there are some new
wonderful quote stamps in the shop you could use too
Mount
onto white cardstock and there you have it, a card made using some gorgeous
Rubber Dance stamps ;)
Supplies Used:
Hope
you like it
