Hi
there, Bentley has come out to ply again this week as I love his dreamy look
and I’ve made a tag in summery colours as I’ve got a longing for those Spring
and Summer sunny days. I’ve chosen my favourite bokeh look too as I love how
this technique looks.
Ingredients:
That’s Crafty! Surfaces – White/Greyboard Tag Size 8 (the nearest to mine which I’ll
explain below)
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paints – Haystack, Banana, Lavender, Lilac
Yellow
Ribbon
Recipe:
Use
the brayer to apply the lilac and haystack paints to the tag and when dry, use
the bubbles stencil with the white gesso and the lilac, lavender and banana
paints to add a pattern to the surface.
Stamp
Bentley on the tag with the black ink and stamp again on white stamping card.
Colour the image on card with the watercolour pencils.
Cut
the image out but you can ignore the whiskers and when cut out, you glue it
over the image stamped on the tag. Just remember to line up the whiskers – good
huh!
Check
the bubble pattern and adjust if necessary then add your chosen sticker from
the book and tie some yellow ribbon through the top to finish.
My
tag was actually made using part of something that went horribly wrong when I
was stencilling a word and too much paint went on, happily I managed to salvage
this bit and the result with a bit of tweaking is as you see here.
We
have a new challenge for you today over at That’s Crafty! Challenge Blog, the
first of 2017. You’ll find all the details of how you can win a fab prize when
it goes live at 8am so don’t forget as you have to be in it to win it!
Have
a great weekend and see you next week.
