Leaf by Lynne Moncrieff

This assemblage is the result of some playtime with colour diffusing paper and Infusions.  You could substitute this paper with rice paper, handmade papers, etc.
I gathered a few favourite bits ‘n’pieces, found items but you could gather favourite craft embellishments with a nature theme.

Supplies

Canvas Panel 7”x5”
Idea-ology Tiny Attacher
Extras:- Driftwood, wood slice, muslin, tree bark, resin paper scrap, French book text, colour diffusing paper

Instructions

Apply Gesso to canvas panel followed with a generous application of Crackle Paste. Once dry, apply Hardware Powders, misting with water. Once dry, apply Gold acrylic. Lay aside

Sprinkle The Sage onto colour diffusing paper, misting with water. Once dry, leave to dry naturally, stamp leaf. Distress edges before layering to book page. Adhere this to canvas panel.

Stamp script onto scrap of mop up paper. I layered this with a piece of muslin which had previously been stained for another project. Continue to layer other found items including driftwood to mimic a branch and a wood slice. Stamp script onto a piece of brown envelope, adhering to the wood slice.

Next week I will be sharing a card I made at the same time.

  5. It is another stunning nature project, dear Lynne, and brings me straight to the woods. I can, here, see the colour diffusing paper, looking almost like fabric, and what I thought was leaves in the left corner, I can see, is patches of papers , but looking a bit like leaves, fallen to the ground. A wonderful autumn piece, as only you can do it, dear friend !! xx
