Hi Everyone
Well what an exciting week at That’s Crafty!, you will have
seen yesterday that my team mate and bestest crafty friend Donna Gray has
designed a range of stamps produced by That’s Crafty! As someone, myself, who
cannot draw I am in awe of her designs and have had such fun playing with a
couple of sets.
I have made a couple of cards and I have combined them with
other stamps from my collection.
Here’s What I Did:-
I’ll
keep this brief as It’s about showing you Donna’s fabulous stamps.
The
first card uses the “Treena” set from the Serenity collection. Lots of masking
on this one as it has all be done on one layer. Background was using a stencil
as a stamp sprinkling on Infusions, a technique that I have covered many times
on my Tuesday posts. Then lots of masking and stamping. I kept the background
black and white as I wanted to colour the birds in bright colours so they
popped off the page.
The
second card again involves masking for the background and has been created
using Stampdendous Urban Scribble which comes with both a rubber stamp version
and a foam version.
I firstly stamped with the rubber and then after having
applied a selection of colours using mini Distress pads and a misting of water, stamped the foam over the top.
Masking the building off I then applied the sky
with Distress ink applied with a stencil brush. I stamped one of Donna’s quirky
girls from her “Quirky Girls” collection, this one is Beki. I have paper
pierced her together, these stamps are fabulous for that technique as well as
for colouring. The only part I’ve coloured is her face and a little shading to
the paper piercing, all this has been done with coloured pencils. The sentiment
along the bottom is from PaperArtsy.
Here’s What I Used:-
Various Stamps from my stash
Papers
from my stash used for paper piercing
Alphabet
Dies
TCW Film Stencil from my stash
Aren’t Donna’s stamps fabulous? So much fun and obviously
Quirky!!
I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see what the rest
of the That’s Crafty!Design Team have made as we all showcase our makes using
Donna’s stamps.
See you next Tuesday
