Today, I'm sharing
a notebook featuring a stencilled sentiment.
Supplies
PaperArtsy Stamps Sets - JOFY 12, 14
Fresco Chalk Acrylic – French Roast, Chalk
Martha
Stewart Satin Acrylic – Sea Lavender
Prima
Wax Thread
Paper
Trimmer
Extras:- Calico, button, crochet lace, re-cycled old box packaging, brown paper
packaging
Instructions
For the
cover, cut two panels from a re-cycled corrugated box packaging. Paint with Gesso followed with Chalk and Sea
Lavender, I have a very random way of applying paint – I will happily mix them
on the same brush. Stamp JOFY stamps
with Tuexdo Black, once ink is dry, dry brush Gesso.
Cut
re-cycled brown paper packaging to size, as many sheets as you require, using
the covers as a guide. Punch holes into
the covers and pages, binding together with wax thread. Lay aside for the
moment.
Stencil
be (from becoming) and brave onto calico with fineliner
pen. Tear a piece of the box packaging
to reveal the corrugation, dry brush with Gesso. Layer brave
onto this. Adhere the stencilled words
to front cover, embellishing cover with crochet lace and button.
A
speedy “junk” notebook, a place to write your thoughts on what you could do
that would bring out the brave in you!
Until
next time,
Wishes
Lynne

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice, quick little note book! I love that everything is recycled! I'm using some recycled card board to make a journal this week. You always inspire me to try something new, Lynne. I AM going to trying stamping/stenciling on fabric. ") You always make it look so very easy. This cover has everything I like: script background, texture stamping, buttons and lace, and stenciling. Well put together, Lynne. Thanks for sharing with us. inkybru xx
ReplyDeleteSo cute and I want one! X
ReplyDeleteDear Lynne, what a wonderful way of creating your own notebook. The fine liner pen, used with the stencils, gives such a beautiful result, I think you are so clever ,to have such clean and lovely script result!! Also I love the corrugated cardboard behind the stencil, and the color you created mixing straight on the brush. A great notebook, with so many possibilities. Thank you my dear friend, for this lovely idea. xxx
