I love this quote by Kierkegaard and it’s been appropriate
this week when I have been working on something very new to me so it inspired
my page.
I started with spraying my pages with inks, to be honest I
just picked up whatever came to hand and sprayed. I thought about going with a
more co-ordinated colour palette but in the end decided if the page is about
taking risk then hey why not just go for colour. It was a fairly safe bet as it
is quite difficult to get mud with these you can be fairly risky with your
colour mixes. I dried with a heat gun as
I have learned this gives more of a sheen when dry.
Next I background stencilled with the two Dinky Stencils and
the Magenta Hue and Tea Rose inks. Next
I stamped randomly with the Finnabair clear stamps in each of the 4 Archival
colours. Next black modelling paste
through the Finnabair stencil and white through the Crafter's Workshop
stencil. A few plashes with the white
Sharpie completed my background.
The images are taken from collage sheets in my stash and the
quote was printed and both stuck on using gel medium. Some final shading, doodling and messing and
all done.
