Simple Journal Page by Debs Wainwright

Hi everyone I've been playing in my journal this week with just paint and stencils. You can can get great effects using minimal tools.

Here's what I did

Using a poppy foam stamp I created the background by stamping in 3 colours over the page. This wasn't really done randomly, as I wanted to ensure that you got to see the colours individually as well as a whole. I also wanted to leave some white, so that it didn't go too dark.

I dried the pages, and  then using a stencil and black paint I  created the  feature first; this was so that I could see where would be best to stamp the sentiments, so that it looked balanced. I wanted the women to stand out more from the background so used a white Gelatos around their bodies which pushed them out from the background.

I also used some background stencils to give more interest. I loved the way this tied it all together, as before it wasn't working for me.

Here’s What I Used:

I hope you like these pages, as they were fun to make

take care for now
