Timeless Love Keepsake by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have a little wedding keepsake to share this week, which I hope you like. It came about as I was pondering what to do with the beautiful bride Runway stamp and came across my heart stencils when inspiration struck and this tag is the result.

Ingredients:

PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylic Paints – Candy Floss, Rose, Caramel, Toffee
Pale Pink Pencil
Extras – Deep Pink Crochet Lace, Cream Ruffled Lace, Pearls

Recipe:

Paint the tag with a mix of toffee and caramel paint – I mixed the 2 together to give a rich coffee brown which I felt would be a good contrast to the pink and cream I wanted to use.

Use the hearts stencil with Grunge Paste to apply a subtle pattern at random on the tag. When the paste is dry, place the stencil back over the heart shapes and dab with the deeper pink paint.

Paint the heart shape with the rose acrylic and when dry, stencil on the long hearts background with the caramel paint.

Stamp the bride image on stamping paper with the coffee ink, add a touch of colour to the dress bodice, her face and arms, and then cut her out.

Glue a piece of cream ruffled lace around the painted heart, then glue firmly to the tag on the left side so that some lace hangs over the edge.

Add the bride image with foam tape and decorate the tag with the pearls and crochet lace. Finish off with some text stickers and tie a piece of crochet lace through the top.

We have a new challenge for you today over at That’s Crafty! Challenge Blog so don’t forget to check it out at 8am to see how you could win a great prize as the randomly drawn winner.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
