The Robin and the Girl by Debs Wainwright

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing an MDF tag of one of my girls, and her little friend Robin. I had great fun with this project; these two characters were a little tricky at times, but I think we got there in the end.

Here's what I did

I gave the tag a generous coat of crackle paint and allowed it to dry naturally, as heating stops the cracks.

Using several stencils and Fluid Acrylics I created my background. I chose a different colour for each stencil.

Robin was stencilled with black ink, and I also used a black pen to add interest. Then came the girl. Chalk finish Acrylic for the base of her face then Fluids to mix her skin I drew in her features with a black pen, and corrected some areas on the Robin.

The circle stencil was now added and painted to give a 3D effect. I used Distress crayons to add a little colour, and the edges were distressed to give an aged look. To finish the tag I added some words, then sprayed with a gloss sealer.

What I used

DecoArt Spray Gloss Sealer

I  hope you like Robin and the Girl as much as I do, I'm sure there must be a story to be told, but that's for another day. Take care as always
