Fleur by Lynne Moncrieff

Played with Infusions and Frank Garcia Powders on this panel along with a beautiful and generously sized PaperArtsy stamp.

Supplies

PaperArtsy Infusions:- The Sage, Blackcurrant, Sunset Beach
Prima Frank Garcia Memory Hardware Artisian Powder:- Chapeliere, Parthenay, Vausseroux
Extra:- Cotton fabric, brown jute twine, watercolour

Instructions

Apply Gesso to panel before applying the Frank Garcia powders and Infusions, misting with water. Tilt panel to allow to drip and blend. Heat set or if you are patient (!) leave to dry.

Stamp tulip and butterfly collage onto panel. Sprinkle Infusions onto craft mat. Mist with water to create watercolour, applying to stamped collage with watercolour brush to lightly colour the image. For the leaves, I also added a touch of green watercolour paint to brighten the Sage Infusion. I like to work quickly so the black ink hasn’t dried and I can get a nice effect when the colour is applied to the stamped image, it can soften it in areas.

Ink up Finnabair texture stamp, stamping randomly onto panel, focusing around upper right corner.

Coil Gypsy Cord, create three, layering to panel with a piece of cotton fabric stained with the Infusions.

Finally wrap jute cord and a scrap of Gypsy cord around bottom edge of panel.

Until next time,

Lynne

  7. A very beautiful shabby chic panel, Lynne. I love the soft colors you have created with the FC powder and the PA infusions. I love the dreamy effect you have created for that lovely PA stamp. The tulips just jumps off the panel and, yet, the whole image (tulip, leave and butterflies) just seem to float in the background. Always love your textural effects and distressing work. What a wonderful idea for the GC flowers! Outstanding work! Thank you for sharing with us and inspiring us! inkybru xx
