Hi
everyone,
Donna
here today using a large That’s Crafty! white/greyboard substrate and having a
little play with zesty colours ;)
What to do:
Lightly
brayer on some PaperArtsy Fresco Paints directly onto the grey/whiteboard, no
need for Gesso. I chose the citrusy translucent shades for this, you just want
a very light background effect.
Next
up, draw/stamp a face and then proceed to colour it in using more Fresco paints.
I usually use Nougat as my starting point adding colours to that for a skin
tone, once you’ve worked out your colour combo best to write it down as it’s
easy to forget!
Once
you’ve completed the girl’s face and hair, start using the stencils. For the
poppy stencil apply a Distress ink through it. I more often then not use
Distress inks for this as I’m always concerned about paint seeping under the
stencil!
For
the corn flowers stencil use a DecoArt modelling paste applied with a palette
knife, dry with a heat gun and then lightly colour in using green shades of
Gelatos as they smear beautifully on that.
Finishing
touches are adding a die cut flower and a Tim Holtz sentiment.
The
size of this white/greyboard is absolutely fab for creating something on a
larger scale….let your imagination run free!
Supplies Used:
PaperArtsy Stencil Lin Brown 025 (use as a substitute for Crafters Workshop Stencil – Corn
Flower)
PaperArtsy
Stamp Set - Eclectica³ - Clare Lloyd - ECL10 (use as a substitute for hand drawing
the face)
Hope you like it
