Holtz Umbrella Man Die
I am
sorry I have no step by step pics this week as my Camera was out of charge
while I was crafting and it was a case of wait till it charged or go with the
flow, I went with the flow. The
inspiration behind this week’s journal page is my amazing husband. He has had a week of looking after me having
to go in and out of hospital for various tests (nothing alarming) and now this
weekend a day case visit to the hospital for his father has turned into a 3 day
hospital visit with hubby providing support to his Dad and his Mom. But as he always says whatever life throws at
us we face it together.
I
started with a coat of gesso.
Next I
applied little blobs of each of the paint colours and moved them around with a
baby wipe.
When
dry I went over with the different paints using the That’s Crafty! Dinky
Stencils.
I added
bits of left over paint to some modelling paste and smeared it across the
bottom of the page to create an “horizon”.
Next
some stamping in black paint using my own carved stamps.
On
white stamping card I stamped the girl with umbrella image from the “Sparkle in
the Rain” set in Versamark, added black embossing powder, heat embossed and
hand cut her out. Next I die cut the Tim
Holtz Umbrella Man in black card. I
added both images to the page using the Gloss Gel Medium and adding a heavy
layer of the medium over the top.
Next
came Chit chat Stickers for my phrase which I shaded using a black watercolour
pencil, which I also used to create a black shadow to my “horizon”.
