Swing by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone

I have a card for you today

As time is still against me another relatively quick one here but using one of the new stamps from Carabelle Studio.

Here’s What I did:-

Using mixed media card I stamped the XXL Carabelle Studio stamp. Now these stamps are HUGE!! And come on their own A4 acrylic block this can make it hard to get a perfect print using an ink pad, well for me any way. To ensure that I get a good print I have stamped it using black Dylusions paint. I brayer a thin layer of the black paint onto the stamp until I have a light, even coverage and then I lay my card on top of the stamp and making sure that you don’t move the card run my hands over the back of the card to transfer the image. I find that this gives me the best image and I like the boldness that the paint gives me.

Once the paint had dried completely. I randomly sprinkled some of Lindy’s Stamp Gang Pigment Powders, one colour at a time spritzing with water and drying with a heat gun before adding another colour this just ensures that the colours don’t run into each other to much and you don’t end up with a muddy mess. Once happy with the result I cut the card down, this cut off some of the stamping.

Onto a separate piece of white paper I stamped the new stamp from Carabelle of the girl on the swing, coloured her, cut her out. I then stamped the image onto to my background and paper pieced her on so that she lined up with the ropes of the swing as I didn’t cut those out. All the sentiments added to the card are also from the new stamp set. Mounted onto black card and added to a card blank.

Here’s What I used:-

Have a fabulous week and see you next time
