A Quick Card by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone

Last week was the longest week ever work wise so I didn’t get chance to get into my craftroom so I have a quick make using one of the new bird stamps from Lost Coast Designs.

Here’s what I did:-

I took several of the bright coloured Distress inks and patted them onto my craft mat. I then gave the ink a quick spray of water. Then using my favourite card, mixed media card, I picked the colour up on the card and blasted it with a heatgun to quickly dry it. I stamped the bird using black Archival ink onto the colour and then changed the colours on the bird by colouring with Spectrum Noir pencils. I stamped the speech bubble, what do you imagine he’s saying? What would you say if one of your legs had a wheel on the end of it? The going cheap stamp is from my stash. I then drew double lines with a black fine liner pen making sure that I overlapped the lines and then doodled into the overlaps to create the sections of stripes. Mounted onto black card it was then added to a card blank.

Here’s what I used:-

Thanks and see you next Tuesday

  1. He is saying... NO... trust me... I did not request this "coat of many colors". Ma designed it with her very own hands. What am I supposed to do... peel it off with my teeth???? Besides... it's warm. I can learn to like it.
