Mr Robin Comes Hop, Hopping Along by Lynne Moncrieff

I transformed a Scribbly Bird into a robin and worked with a contemporary colour palette for this festive card.

Distress Paint:- Fired Brick, Broken China
Glamour Dust - Crystal
Ivory Jute Twine
Extras:- Scraps of ticking and floral fabric, lace and washi tape
Red button, old credit card/artist plastic palette knife

Adhere scraps onto cardbase with Gel Medium.

Apply Broken China and Fired Brick, leaving some areas of cardstock exposed.

Randomly stencil Bubbles with Gesso.

Paint scrap cardstock with Broken China. Stamp Scribbly Bird and calendar page.  Highlight areas of bird with white paint pen and stencil Bubbles with Fired Brick onto bird’s tummy.

Stamp sentiment directly onto cardbase.

Adhere bird and calendar page to cardbase and embellish card with ticking fabric and button. Finally sprinkle Glamour Dust to card, including bird’s tail and head.

Until next time,
