Simply Bright by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, this week I have a fairly clean and simple card design to share as I’ve made a resolution to try and use up some of the coloured cardstock, which has been sitting in my craft stash for quite a long time from the days before I got hooked on ink and paint. My Inkadinkado stamping gear has also come out to play again as it’s ideal for those simple yet striking creations.

You Will Need:

Distress Inks – Ripe Persimmon, Picked Raspberry
Cardstock – Fuchsia Pink, Sky Blue

To Make:

·       First, pick a floral style image from the sets that come with the stamping gear kit – you get 4 sets so there’s quite a few to choose from although they’re not all floral of course.
·       Next you need to fix your chosen stamp on the clear paddle using the central line as a guide. Place the round cog on the stamping paper, hold down firmly and ink up the stamp with the pink ink.
·       Stamp 4 times round the cog, leaving spaces and then stamp again with the orange ink. You’ll end up with a circular design similar to mine.
·       Cut into a circular shape with a die or a circle cutter and add to a mat of sky blue card. You might think this a slightly unusual combination but it was the one that made my pink and orange stamping pop.
·       Make a card blank up from the pink card and arrange with the fold at the top tent style. Stamp a sentiment in the centre of the stamped circle with the pink ink and attach the panel to the card to finish.
See you again next week.

  1. Such an elegant design in great zingy colours, Fliss. A great way to use up that coloured card from your 'old' craft life.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on our blog, we really appreciate it.
