Read All About It by Mandy C

Scoring Tool (or the edge of some closed scissors)

·       Take your A5 card, measure one of the short sides up 9.3cm and draw a line across to the opposite top right hand corner, cut along the line. Then measure at 7cm, 14cm and 21cm. Score 3 lines then fold the card according to the picture.  Set to one side.

·       Cut some black card into strips that are 6.8 cm wide and white strips of card that are 6.5cm.

·       Stamp the text background stamp onto the white card. Edge the white card with the black Archival ink.

·       Measure the top of your ‘mats’ with your folded card blank to get the correct angel for the top of the mats. Glue into position, first the black then the white card.

·       Onto some stamping card, stamp the little boy and two ‘extra!’ words. Edge the boy with a marker so he’ll stand out from the background.

·       Mount the two words onto some black card and cut around leaving a slight border.

·       Use a torn piece of black card along the bottom of the stamped boy image when adhering to the card so it grounds the image (otherwise he’ll be floating in space!).

·       Add the words at angles.

·       Add a bit of shading around the edges of the 3 panels using the grey watercolour pencil.

·       and there you have a card. J

  1. Brilliant card, Mandy. I love the suggestion of a folded newspaper.

  2. Really clever idea Mandy and such a fabulous shape too.
