Queen of Hearts by Lynne Moncrieff

This week I am sharing another heart. The past two weeks have seen me share romantic style hearts so, for this week, it was time for a change of direction.

Recently I received the IndigoBlu Slap It On Kit, plenty to play with in this kit. I selected the funky shaped heart for my project.

VersaFine Onyx Black
White Cardstock (scrap)
Extras:- Oxford Impressions Wonderland (heart), Alice In Wonderland book pages, white tissue paper, Caran d’ache NeoColor II watersoluble crayon red (or use any watersoluble crayon or pencils)

Select the funky shaped heart from the kit.

Both sides of heart

Apply Gesso. I applied two thin coats.

Apply Distress Crackle Paint in a very random fashion. Leave some areas free of the Crackle Paint. Aim for a very distressed appearance. Leave to dry.

Once dry stamp heart repeatedly onto both sides. Heat set.

Side One

Apply Sea Lavender paint to Alice In Wonderland book pages.

Stamp Queen of Hearts. Scribble red watersoluble crayon onto areas of image.

Fussy cut and adhere onto scrap white cardstock (for stability) then adhere the image onto  another painted book page, back to back (nicer than seeing white card on the back of the stamped image once adhered to the heart. Adhere Queen to the heart.

Stamp heart with Crimson Red. Cut out. Layer over the heart on the Queen of Hearts stamped image.

Side Two

Stamp crown onto white tissue paper. Tear around crown.

Adhere to heart with Slap It On (included with the kit).

Repeatedly stamp the word Queen onto tissue paper. Tear around each word. Adhere  with Slap It On.

That will be the last of hearts for a wee while!
