A Bug’s Life ATCs by Deborah

Bubble Wrap
Leaves from the garden
For my insect-themed ATCs, I went back to primary school art classes and printed with leaves from the garden, this time making use of the fabulous Gelli plate. I added a little definition to the prints with ProMarkers and watercolour pencils where necessary and enhanced the colour with the yellow Distress stains.

I glued one of the dried, paint covered leaves to Life is Art with Mod Podge (and added some staples on the stem), having first stamped onto it with the fig stamp from A Bug’s Life.

All the bugs are from the 7 gypsies set, stamped in VersaFine and coloured in (and over, in the case of the caterpiller) with watercolour pencils. I added a little Mod Podge: Gloss to the beetles on Leave No Trail. The magnifying glass – stamped on a separate piece of card - is from the Beekeeper’s Tea. And although the butterfly plaque is from another Beekeeper’s Tea set, there’s an identical one on plate 9.
