Stormy Weather By Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, hope you’re all enjoying some sunshine at the moment although my project for this week is actually all about rain! I was thrilled to bits to see the stamp set this came from pop up in the shop as this is my absolute favourite of the Viva Las Vegastamps sets. I decided to make a card perfect to cheer up a friend who is undergoing a bit of unsettled weather in their life.

Here’s What You Need:
Distress Stains – Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Picket Fence
Mr Huey’s Mist – Water Cooler

Here’s How To:

·       Cut a piece of watercolour paper measuring 12 x 15cm and colour with the Distress Stains, spraying with a little water to make the colours run. Apply splats of the stains to the coloured paper by pouncing firmly with the bottles. My darker blue splats were a little too dark so I dried the paper off and added splats of Picket Fence over the top to soften the effect.

·       Place the chevron mask on the stained paper and spray lightly with the Water Cooler mist. Remove the mask and spray on a few splatters of the White Linen ink. Dry the panel and iron flat if necessary.

·       Stamp the swimsuit figure and the puddle text with black ink on to white card and trim both into panels. Add these to a mat of aqua card.

·       Adhere the decorated paper, image panel and text to the card blank as shown. Decorate with a couple of short rows of blue and green gem strings.

Have a great weekend with hopefully sunny rather than stormy weather!
