A Sense of Symmetry Tag by Mandy C

Large ticket background stamp ~ I’ve used a Wendy Vecchi one but here is an alternative
Vintage Mica Mists ~ Antique Rose, Tarnished Gold and Patina
Gold Gel Pen

·       Take your tag and make a background*, using the masks, spritzers and paint.  Once you are happy with the background, use the Rose Madder ink and stamp the tickets down the right hand size of the tag. I took some printer paper and tore a strip to use as a mask down the side so there wouldn’t be a straight edge to the stamping.

·       Stamp the clockwork girl onto some thick paper, as well as the flying pig and the words. Cut out and arrange on the tag. Glue in place. Colour the images with watercolour pencils. Add gold/silver gel pen highlights.

·       Stamp the numbers from the PA plate using the distress ink on the left bottom of the tag.

·       Edge the tag with the black fineliner.

·       Add some ribbon.

* to create the background, I put the tag onto a heat proof mat. Firstly, I sprayed the Vintage Rose through the Moroccan mask randomly over the tag, dried with a heat tool. Then I added Tarnished Gold and the patina sprays, drying in between layers. I then took the Mini Ledger mask and dabbed paint through the stencil randomly.

  1. I love the gold on this, with the teal. A wonderful effect.

  2. Gorgeous background and so wonderfully different.
