Telegraph/Steam Punk Birthday Card by Mandy C

Watercolour Pencils
Card Blank

·       Using the black Archival, colour around the edge of your card blank to create a frame for your stamped piece to go on to.

·       Cut a piece of card slightly larger than your card blank.

·       Using the spritzers, make your background. Dry. Stamp the bubblewrap randomly with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. Stamp the ‘telegraph’ script onto the card using the Stone Gray StazOn, it doesn’t matter if it’s exact. Measure and cut to slightly smaller than your card blank.

·       Use the black Archival to stamp the cog blueprint stamp.

·       Stamp the man, the light bulb and Happy Birthday (from the typewriter set) onto some card. Cut out and adhere to the card, the words are on 3d foam. Colour with watercolour pencils.

·       Stamp the cogs in the opposite corners using black Archival. And the 1901 in the right lower corner.

·       Use white gel pen to add highlights and using a grey watercolour pencil add ‘shadows’ to the left side of the images.

·       Edge with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

·       Adhere your stamped creation onto the card blank.
