Find Your Sense of Wonder by Mandy C

What I used:

Square card blank
PaperArtsy ~ Hot Picks 1107
Watercolour pencils
Sentiment stamp

What I did:

·       Make your background with your selection of paints and masks. Leave to dry. (I made mine on A4 size card so I could ‘choose’ which piece I wanted to use for this card design).

·       Stamp Icarus, the rows of houses (the biggest and 2 x smallest) and the sentiment onto white card. Colour with watercolour pencils.

·       Once you have decided on which piece of card to use, cut slightly smaller than your card blank. Edge with chalk ink.

·       Line up the longest row of houses very slightly above the bottom of the card.

·       Attach the two smaller rows of houses and Icarus to the black paper and card… cut very close to the image so there is a slight border around the images.

·       Using 3d foam pads, attach the 2 rows of houses at either end of the long row and right at the bottom of the background card.

·       Glue Icarus centrally. Stamp the cogs/wheels around the edge and adhere the sentiment with 3d foam pads to add a bit of dimension.

·       Finally attach the background piece of card to the card blank.

  1. Wow! The colour on this amazing - it really does look as if the city is bathed in light. And I love the touch of steampunk.
