Dressmakers Dummy by Mandy C

Sturdy piece of card (cereal/pizza box)
Torso Template
Kaisercraft Single Stamp ~ Boutique
Watercolour Pencils
White Chalk Pencil

·       Take a piece of white card and spritz several colours onto it. I’ve used blue, mauve and a green. Leave to dry/dry with heat tool.

·       Meanwhile, stamp the girl from the Oxford Impressions set and the cotton reel top with Archival ink, heat set and then cut out.

·       Once the background is dry, take your template and draw around and cut out, using double sided tape, stick the torso to sturdier card (I’ve used the inside of a ‘do not bend’ envelope but cereal/pizza box would suffice).

·       Take the grey StazOn and stamp the backgrounds from the Oxford Impressions set and the boutique stamp randomly across the background of the torso.

·       Using Black Archival stamp the ‘the standard designer’ stamp across the shoulders. Position the girl and the cotton reel and stamp ‘sew’ onto the torso. Glue the girl/cotton reel into position. Colour with watercolours.

·       Use the black pen to do some faux stitching around the edge of the torso. Edge with the charcoal chalk ink.

·       Emphasise the words with white gel pen and the girl/cotton reel with the chalk pencil (it gives a slightly thicker outline).

There’s a free mannequin template here ~ you would just need to add the stand.
