Circus Folk by Deborah

I’ve been playing with Oxford Impressions Vintage Circus again and came up with a couple of skinnies (2.5” x 5”). For a change, I masked the figures rather than cutting them out and sticking them on.

All stamping is with my favourite Jet Black Archival Ink and I have coloured in with various mediums including Distress Stains, ProMarkers, coloured pencils and pastels. I went for a shabby, worn look which, owing to my rubbish photography skills, hasn’t come across that well (sigh).

The word ‘circus’ and the scroll stamp on the male card are also from the Vintage Circus set. The tassels are Prima Lamp Trims, the swirl on the female card is from IndigoBlu: Discover Your Passion, the crown/script stamp is from Lynne Perrella Collection 011.

  1. Always such a fun stamp plate to create with.
Love your use of colour and the way you incorporated other stamp companies.

  2. They're great fun Deb, never heard of skinnies before, shall give it a try :)xx

  3. These look absolutely fab Debs and just love the colouring which looks stunning.
