All At Sea By Fliss Goodwin

A nautical card from me this week with men in mind, largely because all those in my family love the sea, so anything with a nautical flavour is a big hit with them. I made a porthole style frame for the lighthouse for a fun, different look that I hope you like.
Here’s What You Need:

Studio Calico Mr Huey’s Mists – Bookworm, Water Cooler
White Card
Thick Card or Grey Board
Coloured Pencils

Here’s How To:

·       Cut a square of white card to fit your card blank and apply the compass mask to the top left corner then spray with the mist inks. Remove the mask and stamp on the compass from the set with the deep blue ink and the anchor in the remaining corners with the coffee ink. Add colour to the stamped compass with pencils.

·       Stamp the lighthouse image on white card with the coffee ink, leaving plenty of space around it and colour with pencils. Using circle cutting equipment or a die set, decide on a size that will cut the image out and cut.

·       Cut out a frame to fit round the circular image panel from thick card or grey board. Cover this with embossing ink using the Ranger dabber and heat emboss with the Fran-tage embossing enamel. Pierce hole with a pokey tool and add mini brads all round.

·       Assemble the card as you see in the photo, attaching the frame with foam squares. You’ll probably need to make it go over the edge a little to balance the design.

Hoping you have a great weekend.
