Top Hat Tag by Deborah

I still seem to be a in a green phase, but this time with touches of its opposite: red. This piece started off as a card topper but then I added the semi circle, cut from the same painted background, and it morphed into a tag.

The background is pale blue card painted with Eco Green Crafts Acrylic Paint: Pistachio and stamped using bubble wrap pressed into Eggplant. I stamped the jewelled swag from Lynne Perrella Collection 02 and the crown motif from Lynne Perrella Collection 011 in VersaFine Onyx Black.

The woman in the top hat from Lynne Perrella Collection 02 was stamped separately in the Versamark, coloured and cut out, as were the medallions from Lynne Perrella Collection 04 - the flower in her hatband is the centre of the medallion.
I edged all the pieces with the chisel tip of a Black ProMarker and added bits of netting and ribbon from my stash.

  5. The colours contrast beautifully and I love the black netting on the top. It reminds me of the net veils ladies used to wear when riding in their top hats.
