'Amour' Trinket box by Paula Tidman

For my project, I've altered a plain wooden trinket box using one of the stamps from the lovely new Lynne Perrella Collection 017. This image is not particularly Christmassy so can be used at other times too which is a bonus. The Amour Definition stamp is by Catslife Press and the other text stamps are JustRite Stamps Greetings from Paris and Shabby Chic Labels Four.
The box was sanded down and given three coats of PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paint in Vintage Lace on the inside and outside. Then another light sanding. The images were then stamped randomly using black Archival ink. I coloured the images using Distress inks in Victorian Velvet and Broken China. Then I gave it a coat of Distress Crackle in Clear Rock Candy. This bleached some of the colour, so once dry, I sponged on some more Distress inks in Salty Ocean and Victorian Velvet, then a touch of gold leafing along the edges and light coat of spray varnish to seal the colours.
