Octopode Steampunk Tag Book by Mandy C

I’ve made a 6 page tag book, featuring some of the Octopode Steampunk people. The dimension of the tags is 2.5cm x 4.25 cm.

Here’s the first 2 pages …. more coming soon.

PAGE 1 FEATURES STEAMPUNK SIOUXSIE

What I used:

Steampunk Cog corner stamp
Various misters/spritzers ~ I have a collection of lots of them and grab whatever I fancy

Spritz one of the 6 tags you have cut out of white card, allow to dry.

Stamp Siouxsie from the Octopode Steampunk collection. Colour with watercolour pencils. Remember to heat set your image as you are using watercolours. Leave to dry then cut out the image.

Using Dove Gray and the Dylusions background stamp, stamp randomly over the background.

Stamp the train ‘blueprint’ from the Creative Expressions set in Timber Brown and then the light bulb from the same set in black.

Using the black Archival and the Vintage Fence, stamp along the bottom. I usually stamp something along the bottom of my work so that the figures are ‘grounded’.

Stamp the corner cog in black archival ink.

Edge with chalk ink for that subtle edging effect.

Lastly create a ‘shadow’ around Siouxsie using a watercolour pencil in grey.

PAGE 2 FEATURES STEAMPUNK WILLOW

What I used:

Hot Air Balloon Stamp ~ similar to THIS one

Spritz a tag you have cut out of white card.  Leave to dry.

Stamp Willow with black Archival, heat set and then colour with watercolour pencils. Leave to dry then cut out.

Stamp the Dylusions background stamp over the background with Dove Gray StazOn.

Stamp the Vintage Fence along the bottom to ‘ground’ Willow.

Stamp the balloon. Position Willow on the tag, adhere and then stamp the words on the side. Edge with chalk ink.  Create a ‘shadow’ around Willow with a grey watercolour pencil.

WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE TAG PAGES COMING SOON!
