Rosy Card by Dorthe Hansen

11:00

I hope your weekend was only great, and enjoyable, dear friends.
Monday and I?m back with a card created onto a piece of White Greyboasr.
It was painted over with Brown and White mixed to beige,
drying while I stamped the Rose stamp, onto plain copy paper, in black ink.

Leaves stencil, and  Mandela stencil were used in left and right side of panel
with Texture Paste - and the postage stamp also from Set 3- was stamped
upper left corner , and under the leaves-

The stamped rosed were adhered to panel, and a water diluted Green used
to paint the stenciled areas ,and the roses , till showing a soft green tone.

I crumpled a brown paperbag , saved from the binn, and
together with a piece of gauze also painted with the green diluted color, it was
adshered to the bag of panel , together with the string of gauze.
Around the leaves and down the middle, I highlighted with a black fineliner.

I piece of silk ribbon in brown was attached to make it a hanging card .

Thank you for today :-)

Hugs and love, Dorthe

  1. The depth you have achieved with the leaf stencil and paste is amazing Dorthe and those soft greens really help to make it all pop. I always search for those hidden extras within your designs, like the little saved brown paper sweetly crumpled.. Your designs just wouldn't be the same without those personal touches. A beautiful piece full of dimension and ready to proudly display.

    1. Dear Tracey, I`m so happy for your words, as I can`t imagine creating without those extras :-) It would not be me, if I left them out- and sometimes , I even feel there are not enough in my creations. I have good savings of brown paper bags and such , lol- to reuse is great :-) Do you have bags with such, too ? Thank you for your loving words.
Big hugs to you, from Dorthe , xx

  10. Dorthe, I am ashamed to say I haven't inked up that beautiful rose - I must remember to do this. A gorgeous creation, with your always sympathetic connection with nature. The leaves look so real and I like the use of the mandala stencil, bringing even more elegance to this creation.
    Gorgeously delicate xx
