Fly by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a hanging panel for you that I created for the recent sell out Hochanda shows.

What I did:

I dabbed a couple of splodges of That’s Crafty! Multi Surface Paints (green and blue shades) onto the panel and then applied the brayer to distribute the paints. By doing it this way, you should get a lovely random background.

Once that was dry, I spread some yummy Sand Texture Paste through one of the new stencils (Notes) that has a cloud shape. This stencil is such great value as it contains both the stencil and the mask too for each image.

The ‘Notes’ stencil also contains the fab bird image, which I used to dab a purple multi surface paint through.

I then used 2 of the new Mini stencils (Leaves and Bubbles) applying paint through the Leaf stencil and black Distress Ink through the Bubbles stencil.

The finishing touches were to add some doodled hearts and white outlines. The word fly is a little hand carved stamp I did when I had a small piece of rubber left over from a larger carving.

I added some Bakers Twine to hang it with and there you have a zesty, bright creation to help ward off these dull Winter days.

Supplies Used:

Hope you like it
