Before You Say Goodnight by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with another fab Katzelkraft animal stamp for you.

What to do:

Take a sheet of Strathmore Mixed Media Paper and cut to size to fit a 5x7 card.

This stamp can be used horizontally or vertically so he either looks like he’s peeping around something or lying down and taking it easy!

Stamp the cat using black Archival ink and doodle around with a black fine liner pen to replicate a pillow and quilt cover.

Next step is to colour in with whatever your preferred colouring medium is, I used my Zigs for this but if you use the Distress Markers undiluted you can also achieve intense colours.

Use a Dinky stencil to create the circles by dabbing through a blue Distress Ink to give a muted effect. Edge around the background with black Distress Ink to give it a more dreamy, night time feel.

As a finishing touch, add a sentiment from Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers, mount onto black card and then white cardstock.

Doesn’t the little cat look all happy and snug tucked up in bed….I wonder what he’s dreaming of……..fish?

Supplies Used:

Distress Markers (use instead of Zig pens)

Hope you like it

He is a darling sweet little innocent one, laying there- just like a nosy little boy, when laid to sleep :-)- I love how you made his fur alive, with the color mix !!- you are a master in making these animal stamps , come alive, Donna !!
