The Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Donna Gray

00:00

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a card showing the wonder of a kitten’s first Christmas ;)

What to do:

Use a sheet of Strathmore Mixed Media paper cut to fit a 5x5 card.

I drew the kitten but I’d highly recommend the Katzelkraft set of cat stamps for this instead…… or the dog set of course if you prefer!!

Once the image is drawn or stamped, start to colour in with your Distress markers, use a water brush to make sure they are nice and diluted for that watercolour effect.

Stamp the hat and scarf separately onto more Strathmore paper with black Archival ink and colour them too with the markers, fussy cut out adhere to the kitten.

The snowflake stamp is my own but I’ll list another one in the supplies used section for you that you can use instead.

The finishing touch is to draw a line with a fine black pen under the kitten and then spread a layer of Faber Castell bead and glitter gel to get the glistening snowy look. Make sure you let the bead gel air dry though as the heat gun will ruin it!! Mount onto black card and then white cardstock.

There you have a little kitten so looking forward to wrecking the Christmas tree the most wonderful time of the year.

Oh and if you’re curious about this little kitty then pop by my blog later and all shall be revealed ;)
