Diva by Amanda Southern

Hi Everyone

Today I would like to share a piece I made on behalf of That’s Crafty! for the Launch edition of the new online magazine “Mixed Up” using a That’s Crafty! acrylic stack.

Here’s what I did:-

The first thing I always do, as these stacks are 4 layers, is plan what is going on each layer so that it all works when you put the stack back together. As this piece was to be made up of all squares I had to space them out within the layers correctly so I first stamped the squares onto scrap paper and used them to work out the positioning. Once I was happy I then removed the paper and stamped the square images directly onto the acrylic layers. Once I had stamped everything I then coloured them using just 4 colours of paint pens.
The back piece, the MDF piece, I covered with a piece of card that I had stamped the black squares onto. Each layer also has the word Diva added to it using letter Stickers.

Here you can see all the individual layers of the stack before I put them all together. Once together all are held in place using 4 screws and nuts that come with the stack.

What I Used:-

Lost Coast Designs Stamp Sets – Large and Small Square Tiles Set 1 & Tiles Set 2, Medium Square Tiles
Posca Paint Pens or Acrylic Paint
Lost Coast Design Background Stamp from my Stash
Tim Holtz Label Letters from my Stash

Thanks and I’ll see you next week

Love
