Believe by Lynne Moncrieff

This ornament was an accumulation of the result of leftovers and abandoned items – I love when that happens! This is a project perfect for using up any scraps you have. I suppose it is a festive ornament but could be displayed any time of the year.

Supplies

Relics and Artifacts Flaming Hearts Ex Votos I (working with the heart with initials)
Fresco Finish Paint – White Fire, Lake Wanaka
Basic Jewellery Tools  (you could use regular pliers to open the jump ring)
Extras:- Scraps of lace, sari ribbon and cotton, pearl embellishment

Instructions

Mix paints onto foam brush and apply to the R&A. Leave to dry.

Stamp sentiment onto cotton style fabric, fraying edges. Layer with any other scraps, adhering to the R&A.

Attach jump ring to R&A. Cut V into sari ribbon, adhering to rear, letting it hang.

Embellish heart with pearl embellishment and finally thread sari ribbon through jump ring, adding a scrappy sari detail.

The ornament is ready to be displayed!

Until next week,

Wishes

Lynne

  2. It is so beautiful, dear Lynne. I love your low color ,and that you used all the torn fabrics, and doily, such lovely blue tone, and the "Believe" makes it perfect for Christmas ornament, but also as you say it can be displayed all year round, with the tones. Such beautiful relic and artifacts piece !!

  8. Beautiful - perfect for the 'shabby chic' Christmas look, which I love. I just love how textured this is and how evocative of snowy days long ago. xx
