Words are all I have by Donna Gray

Hi everyone,

Donna here today with a card for you featuring one of the new Tim Holtz flower stamps……my new favourites!

What To Do:

Take a sheet of PaperArtsy Smoothy Paper, cut to size. Lay the Seth Apter stencil on the paper and then spritz lightly with a couple of Distress Stains (Ground Espresso and Hickory Smoke), remove stencil and dab any excess with a kitchen towel.

Next, taking a couple of Distress Ink pads (Old paper and Vintage Photo), apply the inks in a circular pattern over the rest of the background to give an aged effect. Flick some water, wait and then blot off with another kitchen towel.

Use one of the lovely new Tim flower stamps and stamp in black Archival straight onto the background.

Next take a Dina Wakley stamp and some Carabelle stamps and stamp on another piece of Smoothy paper. Use Watering Can Archival for the girl and wings and a Memento Dew Drop ink in Angel Pink for the crown.

The girl was coloured in using Distress markers and a water brush, careful here as they are very strong so I tend to apply a little bit to my craft mat and then pick up with the water brush to dilute it first. Fussy cut around the stamped images and adhere to the front of the card.

Mount on black card and then white cardstock. You’ll be finding that some more of the new flower stamps seem to make an appearance in the next few weeks no doubt!
